There are two different ways for your child to access services at True ABAlities:

The first is to enroll your child as a student in our ABA-based classroom. The classroom is led by a teacher  trained to work with a wide variety of special needs and is based on the principles of ABA. The classroom option provides a 3 to 1 student-to-teacher ratio with a maximum of 6 children in total.

For children with more intensive needs, a second option is to have your child participate in the classroom setting via our ABA clinic, which may be covered by insurance depending on who your provider is. Your child will receive a therapeutic plan, which is a collaborative effort between the classroom teacher and the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your child will be supported by a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) while participating in the classroom.

Functional Communication

Being able to communicate needs and wants in a variety of settings and with a variety of people is an essential skill and a basic human right for every child. Without solid communication skills, it is unfair and often counterproductive to place teaching demands. At True ABAlities, we provide a classroom environment that is designed to build and strengthen these life long essential skills. Because all communicators are different, the way we teach communication (ie sign, Picture Exchange Communication System [PECS], vocals, Speech Generating Device [SGD]) is carefully matched with each child’s unique learner profile and almost always includes close collaboration with a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP). Our language instruction is informed by Verbal Behavior theory (VB) which means we look at the purpose of using words and teach what will be most meaningful to your child first.
